RIP TO A HIP-HOP LEGEND who passed yesterday, 4-19-10: GURU, you’re truly “above the clouds” now! Goonies never die and GREAT MUSIC LIVES FOREVER.

We’re not taking sides, but in all realness…whatever the beef may have been…all us fans know GangStarr as Guru AND Premier….so I’m just sayin: we got love for Premo too, and know he’s feelin this thing deeply. We hate the bitterness at the ending of Gurus letter, but we’re just fans that may never know the truth of the situation. And who cares? As one fan so perfectly stated: “F the BS: Salute the GOD for the music he created with Premier…”
Jazzmatazz volume 1 was released 17 YEARS ago and it is still dope!! Support the music and the things you love, before they are gone, they are dead, or they simply disappear. Legendary music isn’t free…..someone’s paying, and putting their gifts on the line. Are you going to steal those gifts, or support and nurture them? If you like something; if you love an artist……(since we know nobody’s payin for music these days, and just downloading for free) go to a show, buy a tee-shirt, grab a grip a stickers….help them spread the word!
Guru got where he was for 2 reasons: HE WAS A GENUIS, and his fans supported him! Now go get your 1993 on–find a record shop, a music store, an online site…….purchase a CD, or a shirt from an artist or musician you love.
Show your solidarity to LEGENDARY HIP-HOP and classic tunes! Whether Durand buys Taylor Swift or Daniel buys Usher….no artist will survive if all their music is taken for free!!
